The Oaks is so much more than a home

It is an integral part of the local community. Located in Rubery, The Oaks offers a welcoming and safe environment where you’re among people you love and trust.

We have brought together professional, compassionate teams and smart technology to make every day joyful for the people who share our lives. It is a place that offers opportunities to enjoy life inside and outside your immediate surroundings.

Our EQ Care ethos is ‘Ohana’ after all which is a Hawaiian word meaning extended family. It is a word that encapsulates what we strive to create in all our homes – a feeling of security, love and exemplary care.

What People Say About Us

We are generally very pleased with the quality of care provided, especially during February when our friend’s birthday celebration was thoughtfully personalised in a particularly meaningful way.
Our friend also thoroughly enjoyed a trip out with staff to a local cafe.

All staff we have met have

generally come across as being sincere, proactive and professional. They are friendly, caring and accommodating. That has been apparent on each visit, typically from the moment we have arrived at reception when we often receive a warm welcome. So it is no surprise to us that our friend has frequently expressed happiness with living at The Oaks.

The team at The Oaks have supported my father-in-law and the family with a challenging and emotional move from another care home with great care. My father-in-law has advanced dementia and some challenging behaviour which the team and The Oaks are managing with ease and confidence. The environment is relaxed and homely and my father-in-law has settled quickly despite the potential trauma from the move. We’re reassured he’s in good hands.

Mum had tried respite at another home locally and before choosing a long term home we encouraged her to try The Oaks. She initially booked a month’s respite but after 2 weeks decided to make it her permanent home. Mum found the staff to be very caring and the atmosphere more calm. She definitely prefers
the food and is finally gaining weight. She absolutely loves Ted (the resident dog). Her room is lovely and when visiting all the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

The Oaks was a home from home for my husband. He came very week for respite care and was so well looked after, knowing he was in such safe hands gave me a much-needed break from caring for him.
He came for a 2 week respite so I could go on holiday and once again I could go knowing he was in safe hands. The staff are caring and kind. I would like to thank them for looking after him so we

🌟 Introducing Our New Chapter: Bracebridge Care Group is Now EQ Care Group! 🌟 A fresh look, a new name, but the same unwavering dedication to what matters most. Our mission has always been to put people at the centre of everything we do. At EQ Care, everything we do has real gravitas and meaning, it’s not just what we do, it’s who we are. Our new name reflects this foundation. EQ stands for Emotional Quotient — the measure of emotional intelligence, and the heart of how we care. It’s about empathy, connection, and understanding. This rebrand represents an exciting new chapter, but our core values remain unchanged: • Everyone cares from the heart.
• Everything is done with intention.
• Every action is rooted in emotional intelligence. 🎥 Tune in to hear from our CEO, Samantha Crawley, as she shares more on this new transformation. www.eqcare.org #EQCare #EmotionalIntelligence #CareWithHeart #NewBeginnings
🎉 Something new is coming... 🎉 We’ve been working on something special behind the scenes, a fresh new look that reflects who we are, where we’re going, and the care we provide every single day. Next Wednesday, we’re unveiling our rebrand, and we can’t wait to share it with you.💚 #CareWithHeart #NewBeginnings #RebrandReveal #SomethingNew #CareHomeCommunity

🌷 Today, we spread a little hope and support for Parkinson’s Awareness Month by sharing tulips around our homes! 🌷 Tulips are a beautiful symbol of strength and resilience for those living with Parkinson’s disease, and we wanted to show our commitment to raising awareness and offering support. These small gestures remind us of the importance of standing together with the Parkinson’s community. 💚 By sharing these flowers around the home, we show that we are here for those affected by Parkinson’s, offering our love and care every step of the way. Let’s continue to spread awareness and work toward a future with a cure. #ParkinsonsAwarenessMonth #SupportTheParkinsonsCommunity #ShareTulips #HopeForACure #ParkinsonsAwareness
Finding the right home for a loved one is never easy, but Charlotte’s words say it all... 💙 “We walked into The Oaks and instantly felt at home. We wanted somewhere that would be a home-from-home environment and we would know he would be safe, cared for, and overall loved and appreciated, and treated as an individual rather than just a client.” Thank you, Charlotte, for sharing your experience. Creating a warm, reassuring, and supportive space is at the heart of what we do. 💛 Want to find out more about The Oaks, Birmingham Contact us on 01527 910497 or email; enquiries@bracebridgecare.org #SafeAndCaredFor #HomeFromHome #DementiaCare #TheOaks #YourWayEveryDay"

🎲💛 Moments of Connection & Joy 💛🎲 There’s something special about gathering around a board game—moments of laughter, smiles, and conversations that bring people closer together. In our homes, these simple yet meaningful activities create connections, spark joy, and keep minds active. 🧩✨ Our care companions love to encourage days like this, bringing people together for fun, engagement, and shared experiences. Playing games isn’t just about entertainment—it’s about stimulating the mind, fostering friendships, and creating a true sense of belonging. 🎥 Watch as we see some of the people living with us enjoy a friendly board game with one of our care companions—sharing moments of joy, connection, and purposeful living. #MomentsThatMatter #ActiveMinds #LaughterAndConnection #CareCompanions #purposefulLiving
🌼💛 Daffodil Day at Our Homes 💛🌼 Today, our homes are blooming with daffodils as we come together to show our support, love, and remembrance on Daffodil Day. These bright and hopeful flowers symbolise strength, resilience, and new beginnings, reminding us of the importance of community and care. Whether proudly displayed in our homes or worn with love, each daffodil represents solidarity and support for those affected by cancer and the incredible work being done to provide care and hope. 🌼💛 #DaffodilDay #SupportAndRemembrance #HeartCenteredCare #CommunityMatters #TogetherWeCare
