We have brought together professional, compassionate teams and smart technology to make every day joyful for the people who share our lives. It is a place that offers opportunities to enjoy life inside and outside your immediate surroundings.
Our EQ Care ethos is ‘Ohana’ after all which is a Hawaiian word meaning extended family. It is a word that encapsulates what we strive to create in all our homes – a feeling of security, love and exemplary care.

Parking is available for all visitors.
The nearest railway station is Longbridge. The nearest bus stop is Holly Hill Shopping Centre, less than a 5-minute walk away.

Meet Lianne Sturmey, Home Manager of The Oaks
It is Lianne’s responsibility to lead The Oaks’ heart-centred care approach as well as the day-to-day running of the home.
Lianne started her career in the care sector as an assistant over 25 years ago and since then has been committed to improving the lives of both people within her care and the team she works alongside. She is passionate about understanding exactly what people want and need, and enabling it to happen.
She is delighted to be help deliver EQ’s new, innovative approach to care and looks forward to welcoming you at The Oaks.

We are generally very pleased with the quality of care provided, especially during February when our friend’s birthday celebration was thoughtfully personalised in a particularly meaningful way.
Our friend also thoroughly enjoyed a trip out with staff to a local cafe.
All staff we have met have
generally come across as being sincere, proactive and professional. They are friendly, caring and accommodating. That has been apparent on each visit, typically from the moment we have arrived at reception when we often receive a warm welcome. So it is no surprise to us that our friend has frequently expressed happiness with living at The Oaks.
The team at The Oaks have supported my father-in-law and the family with a challenging and emotional move from another care home with great care. My father-in-law has advanced dementia and some challenging behaviour which the team and The Oaks are managing with ease and confidence. The environment is relaxed and homely and my father-in-law has settled quickly despite the potential trauma from the move. We’re reassured he’s in good hands.
Mum had tried respite at another home locally and before choosing a long term home we encouraged her to try The Oaks. She initially booked a month’s respite but after 2 weeks decided to make it her permanent home. Mum found the staff to be very caring and the atmosphere more calm. She definitely prefers
the food and is finally gaining weight. She absolutely loves Ted (the resident dog). Her room is lovely and when visiting all the staff are very welcoming and friendly.
The Oaks was a home from home for my husband. He came very week for respite care and was so well looked after, knowing he was in such safe hands gave me a much-needed break from caring for him.
He came for a 2 week respite so I could go on holiday and once again I could go knowing he was in safe hands. The staff are caring and kind. I would like to thank them for looking after him so we

This week is Dementia Awareness Week.
The Oaks Care Home have started the week with their Time for a Cuppa tea party – part of the Annual Charity Tea Party for @dementia_uk, raising awareness and support for people affected by dementia.
People, families, and the team came together over a lovely cuppa and delicious cake, while enjoying the sounds of classic favourites, tambourines, rattles, and plenty of dancing. 🎶💃

Today marks 80 years since Victory in Europe Day, and our homes came together to celebrate with a wonderful mix of remembrance and joy.
Our people enjoyed a 1940s-themed street party, complete with Union Jack cakes, flags, and music bringing the spirit of the era to life. Looking through old photographs sparked special memories, as we honoured the resilience and stories of a remarkable generation.
