We appreciate that when a loved one moves into a new home it can be an emotional time for everyone involved.

Here is some advice to ensure you feel supported and reassured.

Useful advice for families

Are EQ Care Homes regulated?

In England we are registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

Can people be actively involved in the running of the homes?

Yes we actively encourage people living in our homes to have a say.  Tell us what you want, how we can make your day better and we will do our best to make it happen.

My loved one is very religious, how do you support this?

Yes, all religious and spiritual beliefs will be respected by our team members. If there are any religious groups they wish to attend or maintain contact with, we will do our best to make sure this happens.

Can a loved one ever be asked to leave a home?

Very occasionally, for example if we are unable to continue to meet your loved one’s  needs or if when fees have remained unpaid for a period of time.

Who can I talk to about loved one's care?

Whenever you have a question or a specific concern, any member of the home care team will be happy to help. A plan of care and support can be reviewed and revised at any time but the earlier we know about concerns you may have, the better.
